The short version
We collect the little we need to run your account and generate your documents. Chapter PDFs you upload never leave your device — the text is extracted in your browser, used once, and not stored. We do not sell your data, and we never see your card details.
1. Who is responsible for your data
eduggle is operated by a sole proprietorship based in Delhi, India, India. For any privacy question, or to exercise the rights described below, write to infoeduggle@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Name and email address | To create your account, log you in, send receipts, and contact you about the service. |
| Generation inputs — board, class, subject, chapter, difficulty, number of questions | To produce your document, and to count downloads against your plan limit. |
| Text extracted from a chapter PDF you upload | Sent once so the generated document is grounded in that chapter. Not stored after the document is produced. |
| Feedback you send us | To fix what is broken and improve the product. |
| Payment record — plan, amount, date, Razorpay reference | To activate your subscription and keep proper accounts. We do not receive your card or bank details. |
| Basic technical logs — IP address, browser type, error traces | To keep the service secure and to diagnose problems. |
3. Uploaded PDFs — how this actually works
This matters, so here is the detail. When you upload a chapter PDF:
- The file is opened by a PDF reader running inside your browser tab.
- The plain text is extracted there, on your own device.
- Only that extracted text is sent to our server, and only as part of the request that generates your document.
- Once the document is generated, the text is discarded. It is not written to a database and not kept on disk.
The PDF file itself is never uploaded to us. We never hold a copy of your textbook.
4. What we do not collect
- We do not collect card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs or bank credentials — Razorpay handles payment entirely.
- We do not collect data about your individual students. Please do not enter student names, marks or personal details into eduggle.
- We do not use advertising trackers or sell data to advertisers.
5. Children's data
eduggle is intended for teachers, tutors, coaching centres and parents — all adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Who we share data with
We share only what is needed for these providers to do their job:
| Provider | What they receive | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude API) | Your generation inputs and, if you uploaded one, the extracted chapter text | Generating the document. Sent through Anthropic's commercial API, which is not used to train their models. |
| Railway | Application data and server logs | Hosting the eduggle application and database |
| Razorpay | Your name, email, and the amount payable | Processing payments and subscriptions |
We do not sell your personal data. We will disclose data if we are legally required to, and we will tell you where we are permitted to.
7. Cookies
We use only what the site needs to work: a session cookie that keeps you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
8. How long we keep things
- Account details — while your account is open, and up to 90 days after you close it.
- Download records — while your account is open, so plan limits can be counted correctly.
- Payment records — as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- Uploaded chapter text — not retained.
- Technical logs — typically 30 days.
9. Security
Traffic to eduggle.com is encrypted over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in plain text. Access to production data is limited to those who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects your data we will tell you promptly.
10. Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may:
- ask what personal data we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
- ask us to delete your data and close your account;
- withdraw consent for processing that relies on it;
- raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if you are not satisfied.
Email infoeduggle@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and for material changes we will email account holders.
